More Teacher Shirts

It is the season for teacher shirts at my school.  It helps that the principal gave us jeans 2 times a week this year!  My partner and I have been coming up with different shirts to wear.  This chevron apple is her latest request.

I used the old gold glitter vinyl and put her name in the center.

IMG_1523

I am going to have to do one of these for myself.

She also wanted a first grade shirt with arrows.

IMG_1519
She loves primary colors and wanted this one to be very colorful.  I love the design but, if I make one of these for myself I will have to tone down the colors. Maybe some gold and one other color for me.

Breaking Hearts

My teaching partner has a 3 month old baby. Her husband was dying to have a onsie that said Breaking Hearts and Blasting Farts. I have come to refer to it as the farting shirt when we talk about it!

Since they have a boy I couldn't use glitter so I had to use regular vinyl.

Carols of Christmas

When I signed up to be a Stampin' Up Demo again they sent the Carols of Christmas as a bonus for signing up.  At first I didn't think this set would be one I really liked but I picked up the dies and now I just love it!

IMG_1555
I stamped one of the big sentiments all over the background and then created my scene with the dies.

All Ears

Two of my teaching friends have Disney themed classrooms this year.  They are using the theme We're all Ears for Learning.  I made them both a Minnie Mouse shirt.

I used purple glitter vinyl and black glitter vinyl. I was also able to find a purple raglan shirt to put it on.  I was also able to find a font like the Disney font.

Beautiful Branches

I am very guilty of getting a stamp set and then never using it.  Like I just had to have it and then it sits in the drawer; lonely. The beautiful branches set from Stampin Up is one of those sets.  I fell in love with it and then it just sat in the drawer.  I challenged myself to make 10 different designs with it before I put it away again.  The cards below are the 10 designs I came up with.

IMG_1526

The first card I have to share with you is back to school themed.  I used the big puffy flower piece as an apple and made the background black like a chalkboard.

IMG_1527

I added some wink a stella clear to the apple.  You can see it a little in this picture.

IMG_1529

I'm sure I will be using these this year.  I always send thank yous when students bring me little Christmas, Valentine, and end of year gifts.

IMG_1530

I wanted to add to my birthday card stash.  I love how versatile this set is.  This one die cut makes a flower and is leaves to a tree.  For this card I used it as a hydrangea.  I stamped the image ontop of the die cut piece.  My misti made it fery east to accomplish this.

IMG_1532

I finished these two cards off with a fun sentiment inside from Bring On the Cake by Stampin Up (another neglected set I hope to make some cards with soon!).

IMG_1533

I feel like I can never have too many thank you cards.  I am always reaching for one.  I like to have them in many different styles to fit the thank you occassion.  For this card I cut the tree branches out of silver paper and layered it into the card.

IMG_1536

The tree is recessed into the card with the matching bird sitting in its branches.

IMG_1537

For card number 4 I pulled out even more unused things with this embossing folder.  I didn't stamp the flower, I used only the die cut and a sentiment from the stamp set.

I wanted a little more dimension on the flower so I added some nuvo drops for the flower centers.

IMG_1540

I set my sights on fall colors for the next few cards.  I love fall colors and I feel August is close enough to fall to pull them out.

IMG_1541

To create this card I stamped the leaves in 3 colors of distress ink in a pattern across the card front.  I also used some of the leaf die cuts and my stitched ovals.

IMG_1542

This set also works for Christmas.  I went with some bare and evergreen trees for this card.  It is a very simple card but I love the combo of Kraft and red.

I layered some patterned paper and used the evergreen tree again.  This time I stamped it with some fall colors.  I just kept inking parts of the leaves up in different colors and stamping it over the branches.

IMG_1546

I finished the card off with some brown twine.

IMG_1547

I used up the scraps from that same piece of patterned paper I used on the previous card again.  This time I used the smaller tree and leaves.

IMG_1548

I stamped part of the leaves on the ground for fallen autumn leaves.

After I had cut those recessed tree card out I had several trees in white, pink, and aqua.  I used them on the last few cards.

I made it through all 10 designs.  I want to try this again with another stamp set that hasn't gotten any love.

Texas Teacher Shirt

I have one of my favorite shirts I've made to share today.  It is simple and I love that I found a short sleeve raglan style shirt for it.

Everything Is Awesome Teaching Shirt

This year my partner and I are both doing Lego themed classrooms.  We wanted to have a shirt for both of us to wear.

Teacher Swag Bags

I downloaded a Lego-like font for all the wording.  I layered the white on top of the black shadow layer.

For the Lego head I used some basic shapes in SCAL and adjusted them until I got the look I wanted. I finished off the Lego head with a pink bow and a smiley face.

Teacher Swag Bags

I am the team lead at my school for the first grade team.  I like to start the year off with a little gift for everyone on the team.  Since I purchased my heat press last year I have been doing a team shirt and some goodies to go with it.

This year the design I worked on for our team is this I love 1st grade.

Teacher Swag Bags

I built my design in SCAL.  The apple is a cut file from Lori Whitlock's website.  I just love the little heart cut out. I used white vinyl for letters and built all the apple pieces out of glitter vinyl. They really pop on the navy t-shirt.

Then I cut everyone's name out in different colors of glitter vinyl to put on the bag.

Teacher Swag Bags

This was a great way to use up some of the small pieces of vinyl I hoard.

Teacher Swag Bags

Inside the bag are several goodies.  Including the Teach, Love, Inspire shadow box I share with you in this post.  Some of the other goodies are colored post-its (we only get yellow at school!), some washi tape, snacks,  a big tape gun, and a list pad.  I tied the shirt up with some cute ABC ribbon I had.

Here are all the swag bags stuffed and lined up ready to share when we go back to school next week.
