Little Bundle Shaker

I have another shaker card today.  I am determined to actually use my collection of shaker elements.  The hard part is not buying more before I've used what I have!

The card I am sharing today is pink.  It had a blue match but I used that card before I got it photographed!  I cut a star with a nested die set and then strung the clothes up on the line.  All my images are from Lawn Fawn's Little Bundle set.  The tiny baby clothes are super cute.

Snappy Birthday

I have another quick card to share today.  I have made a lot of birthday cards recently.  Now I just need to get some in the mail!

This time I used the Pun Intended set from Stampin Up.  I stamped the camera image, masked, stamped off, masked, and stamped off two times to get the faded look.  The "polaroid" is just the white piece I stamped on top of a longer black piece.

Big on Birthday Rainbows

I have a quick card to share today. I used the Big on Birthdays stamp set from Stampin up and the swoosh from Work of Art. The rainbow is made with Distress inks.

Out of This World Birthday

Have you seen all the galaxy backgrounds lately?  I couldn't wait to give one a try.  They are much easier than I thought they would be.

For these cards I used the Lawn Fawn set Out of This World.  It has so many great options for planets.

I created the background with Distress inks.  I don't remember the exact combo but it had some blue, purple, pink, orange, and yellow before I covered it all in black.

The white spots I made with some white acrylic paint that I thinned out with water and flicked across it.

All of the planets have some shimmer from a clear Wink a Stella.

The insides are finished with a few stamped planets and some more Wink A Stella.

Simple Wow Birthday Cards

The cards I am sharing today are all pretty simple cards to put together but they have a pop of color with black or grey.

The first cards were created with a die cut and turned into shakers.  I love how the pink and green pop off the black.

The second set of cards were made with Tim Holtz Mixed Media dies.  I finished them with a little sentiment that I heat embossed.

The last set of cards were made with the Detailed Floral dies from Stampin Up.  I fell in love with these dies the first time I saw them.

Delicate Details So Very Much

I got the So Very Much and Delicate Details stamp sets from the Stampin Up Saleabration.  I love how big the Thank you image is.  It becomes the whole focus of the card.

I'm sure I will be using the Delicate Details set a lot.  It adds such a nice touch to the cards.

I really like that these cards are all flat.  It makes them easy for mailing.

Love You a Latte

I have two more Lawn Fawn cards to share today.  I made two shaker cards using the Love You a Latte set.  I was obsessed with collecting sequins and beads for shakers for a while.  Now I try to make shaker cards as often as I can.

The first card is with purple accents.

For the second card I used a blue.  I love how it contrasts with the browns.

The card front is made with the coffee bean stamp.

Be Unique

I picked up a fun little stamp set from Lawn Fawn called Clear to See You.  It is a set of eyeglasses and a couple of cute sentiments.  I made a quick set of notecards with the set.

I used Distress ink Wilted Violet, Peacock Feather, Twisted Citron, and Picked Raspberries for the glasses.

Happy Easter Seed Packet

I have an Easter card to share today.  I'm a day late but yesterday got very busy.  I used the seed packet stamp set from Simon Says Stamp for my feature image.

The background was created with a stencil of peeps silhouettes.  I made the stencil in Sure Cuts a Lot and then cut it out with my Scan N Cut.  I sponged white ink in the stencil onto the kraft paper.

The image is stamped on a stitched oval from Stampin Up.  I colored the image with my Spectrum Noir markers.

Hello Coffee My Old Friend

I must confess I have become a little obsessed with coffee recently.  I never understood how my mom could drink coffee at all times of the day until now.  In honor of my coffee loving ways I broke out this little stamp/die/embossing folder set I got from Sizzix.  The stamps are one of the Tim Holtz coffee blueprints.

After I embossed the mini cups on a kraft piece of paper I direct inked the raised edges.  First I tried it with green.  I wanted to bring out the green from the cup.

I finished this one with one of the sentiments and the matching die.  I used my misti to stamp everything.  A few weeks ago while I was pinteresting I came across a blog post (unfortunately I don't remember where) about how the blogger had cut up a Sizzix Eclips mat to fit inside her misti for when she wants to stamp on die cuts that are too small for the magnet.  I have been doing that ever since.  It works great!

After I did the embossed piece in green I wanted to try it with a brown.  I pulled out my old trusty Vintage Photo distress ink.  This has been my go to brown since I bought it.  I used the direct to paper method again.  I tried sponging the ink on but it was getting too much ink on the parts that are not raised.

I finished this card off with the other sentiment stamped in Mowed Lawn distress ink.  I felt these would be perfect for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Bit O' Green.

Watercolor Birthday Blueprints

I decided to catalog my stamp sets because I couldn't remember what all I have and I've bought a couple two times.  In the process of doing this I have rediscovered sets that I haven't used in a while and several new sets that I put away before I used them.

Today I am going to share some cards I made with Tim Holtz Birthday Blueprints stamps.  I love the blueprint sets.  I like the versatility of the set.  I can go grunge or color and make it more cutesy.  The cards I am sharing today are done with watercolors.

I created my backgrounds with some  pearlized watercolors I've had for several years.
I was inspired to use the black and white with just one color from the Seize the Birthday Challenge.

For the balloon I used a pink version of the pearl watercolor.  The pearl is not showing up great in the pictures.

I love the look of gold flecks for a party.  To achieve my gold flecks I tried a toothbrush with acrylic paint but it wasn't quite the look I was going for so I switched to a stiff bristled paintbrush.  I loaded the paintbrush up and then just flicked my thumb across the bottom.  It was messy but I achieved the look I wanted.

I loved the color throwdown challenge combo this week of black, green, and gold.  I made one more background with the green.

I added gold glitter panels to finish off my cards.  I didn't really measure when I cut the watercolor paper so my cards ended up being different sizes based on how I layered them up.

Valentine Shakers

I needed a quick Valentine times 5 for my coworkers.  I had planned on making some sweet treats.  I even have the candy.  Time grew short and I found the stop at Starbucks to be much faster!  I wanted to dress up my gift cards so I made five Valentine themed shaker holders.  These are very similar to the shakers I made for Christmas.  You can see those here.

I finished off the back with a little pun...Working with you is a latte fun.

I like how you roll sushi cards

I recently purchased the Lawn Fawn stamp set Let's Roll.  It is a fun sushi set I wanted to use to make cards for my family and friends who love sushi.

I made several cards using these stamps.  I started by stamping and coloring several of each image with Spectrum Noir markers onto one page.  Once I finished I sent them through the direct cut feature of my Scan N Cut and let the machine do all the work.

I really wanted to keep the cards simple and all on white. I finished several cards by stamping the sentiment and adding a boarder to box in the focus of the card.

A few of the cards I boxed in by making this dashed line.  There is a lot of combinations I was able to create.  I think next time I will trying coming up with some different sushi themed sentiments to use.
