Tag Blocks Christmas Edition

I finally finished the Christmas edition of my tag blocks. Last year we moved two days before Christmas so there was no rush to post the blocks. This year everything go in the way and I didn't finish until today. We will enjoy it for the next three days and then next year it will get a whole month to shine.

I have to admit having the Scan N Cut makes projects like this so much easier.  I found the font I liked and then resized it to fit each block.  I was able to set them all up on one mat and have the machine cut it all out for me.  I finished the bottom block with the Stampin up set Santa's Sleigh.  I fell in love with this set the first time I saw it.  I also used some holly dies from Papertrey Ink and the Santa Hat punch from Stampin' Up.

Heartfelt Thanks

Today I used an oldie but a goodie stamp set.  The heartfelt set.  I love the scripty font in this stamp set.  It paired so nicely with this delicate flower.

I finished the card with a shimmer ribbon and the thanks stamped on the inside.

Rainbow Birthday Card

I have been loving the texture stamps I got from Stampin' Up. I have found a lot of uses for the cards. Today the birthday card I created uses the stamp to create a rainbow background. I love how it pops off the black and white card. IMG_1359

Polka Dot Birthday Cards

Today I have a pink polka dot birthday card to share today.  I love how bold these polka dots are and how well they pair with the sentiment.  This was a fun card to put together and I used several different stamp sets to complete it.

Dino-Rific Birthday

I borrowed the dinosaur stamp set from a friend to create some fun dinosaur birthday cards.  Sadly, the little people in my life aren't so little any more so I can't really justify buying the stamp set for myself. But who knows what justification I will come up with later!

I used some bright colors of ink and put them against a black and white background.

Both cards have the Dino-RRific birthday sentiment and some dino tracks.  Hopefully I find a little friend who will appreciate one of these cards.

Shaker Christmas Gift Tags

I have to admit, I have a little obsession right now with all things shaker and especially with acquiring items to shake around in my little crafts!  Today I have a Christmas version of the shaker gift card holder I shared previously.

Shaker Gift Card Holder

I used my fuse tool to create the pockets.  There is a pocket in the middle for the gift card and a pocket at the back for the to and from.

Shaker Gift Card Holder

I used the Jolly Friends stamp set and my Scan N Cut to cut out the parts of the Santa, Elf and Moose as well as the Merry and Jolly Greeting.

I have one of each of these little guys in my Etsy shop if you would like to get your own.

Gobble Tags

Happy Thanksgiving. I hope you have a restful and enjoyable day with your loved ones.  I will be busy in the kitchen keeping my turkeys at home stuffed today. We have already started with cream cheese danishes for breakfast.

Today I wanted to share my gobble tags that I put on my decor blocks.  I just love this little turkey.  He is the star of the set!

Gobble Tags

My friend had a random sizzix die with the fork and I finished off the acorns with some chunky glitter for the tops.  I have had a lot of fun making tags to display on the blocks.

Here is the set on my mantle with some leaves and pumpkins.  After today we are ready to decorate for Christmas so I will get to pull another set of tags out!

Birthday Shaker Gift Card Holder

I have been playing with my fuse tool.  I have yet to use it to change a page protector but I have made a lot of shaker cards with it!

Today I am sharing a shaker gift card holder.

It is a clear double pocket I fused together after filling with a mix of sequins.  I added a happy birthday to the front of it.

I slipped a piece of patterned paper into the middle pocket because the gift card I was using wasn't pretty but you could leave that out if you wanted.

The back is finished off with a to and from space.  I am excited to try some of these for Christmas this year.

Glittery Branches and Red Birds

My card today sparkles and shines.  I love using glitter paper.  This combo with silver and white is one of my favorites.

I used the Softly Falling embossing folder for the white panel.  The snow is very subtle.

The tree is cut from the Thoughtful Branches die set out of silver glitter paper. The birds and snow drifts are stamped from the Beautiful Branches stamp set.

I finished the card off with the big sentiment from Papertrey Ink and a little red baker's twine.  I love this sentiment and it is getting a lot of use this year!

Lovely as a Tree for Christmas

Lovely as a Tree is one of my all time favorite stamps.  I wanted to use it to make a Christmas card.  I settled on using a navy and white theme for the card.

I stamped and heat embossed the trees in white.  The sentiment is from a Papertrey Ink sentiment set.  I love how large the sentiment is.  It really stands out on the card.

I love the simplicity of this card.  The white really pops against the navy card base.

Jingle All the Way Cards

We moved last year into a new home.  We had a long list of wants for our new home and we finally found one.  One of my wants was a craft room.  I've had one in our last few places but I knew with this being (hopefully) our forever home I wanted to be pickier about the space.  When I saw this space I fell in love.  I spend a lot of time in my room upstairs and I have been so inspired to create since I got the room.

Anyway, on to today's cards.  I am still working with the Jingle All the Way set from Stampin Up.  I purchased it last year but we moved two days before Christmas so most of my holiday crafting was cut off.  I am making up for lost time this year!

I created 4 cards that are similar and just vary by color and sentiment.  I used several different products to create these.

Jingle All the Way Card

I used the woodlands embossing folder, jingle all the way dies, some tree stamps, vellum, and glitter paper to create the front of this card.

Jingle All the Way Card

I love how soft the details on the vellum are.  The sleigh and horse are just perfect for the card.  The little pops of glitter and shimmer add just a little bling to the card without taking away from the simplicity.

Jingle All the Way Card

I created a very similar card in grey.  I alternated the sentiments from Jingle all the way to Silent night. I added the jingle bell to all of them.

Jingle All the Way Card

For the insides I had to add a blank panel to go behind the vellum.  I loved this sentiment.  In some of the cards I added Wishing you the Happiest of Holidays.

Jingle All the Way Card

Now I just need to start addressing envelopes so I can actually get some cards in the mail this year!

Silhouette Style Christmas Tags

Today I want to share the second set of Christmas tags I made this weekend.  This time I played with some manila tags I had at home and a few stamp and die sets.  I focused on using just black.  I think black can add a classic touch to Christmas cards and tags. I finished off a set of these to go into my Etsy store too.

Silhouette Style Tags

I created three different styles but each has only black accents and stamping.  I also added a little bit of vintage sheet music I had left over from another project.

Silhouette Style Tags

Here I used the sleigh and horse with some snowflakes at the top.

Silhouette Style Tags

The sleepy little houses on a hill are finished with snow.  I love the detail of the smoke from the chimney on one of the houses.

Silhouette Style Tags

I thought the sleigh ride tag would be my favorite until I made this one with the tree and Santa flying across the top.  It is definitely my favorite!

Silhouette Style Tags

I packaged a couple sets of these tags up and put them in my Etsy store.  The bag topper has another of the sleigh ride and the last of my sheet music.  I think I will put these with black or kraft gift bags this year.

Chalkboard Style Tags

I have had a lot of fun this weekend creating Christmas tags.  I always want to make Christmas tags for all my gifts but I usually wait until December and then there is never time to complete them! I put some in my Etsy shop if you would like them for your gifts too!

The first set of tags I made are a chalkboard style round tag.

Chalkboard Style Tags

I stamped and heat embossed the images on a black card stock circle.  Then I layered it onto a red scalloped circle.  The tags are finished with red accents and red and white strings to tying.

On the back of each tag I added a white card stock circle and the to and from area.  I finished off each tag with a holly leaf that I added red glitter holly berries to with stickles and a red and white baker twine tail for attaching to gifts.

The tags I added to my Etsy shop have been packaged up in a clear cellophane bag with a matching topper.  I plan to give a set of these to my Secret Santa.

I love how these turned out.  I may need to add a set to my Christmas tree this year.  They would make great ornaments!
