Go Vintage

On the Moxie Fab World blog they are having a contest this week to create a card with a vintage item. I had found a baby spoon at a garage sale a few weeks ago that I cleaned up and used on this card.

Did I mention my kids are growing up too fast?

I haven't had a chance to blog as much as I would like. I missed the opportunity to share Simon's Kindergarten graduation. Simon was sick the week before the last week of school. The weekend before graduation he broke out in hives from something he ate. All I could think was "here we go again". For pre-K graduation Simon sprouted a huge stye. I haven't scrapbooked the pre-K graduation yet because I only have a few pictures that don't have the huge stye standing front and center. As you can see in the picture, it's almost painful to look at.

So I was very nervous the weekend before graduation that we would end up with similar pictures this year. However after a lot of benadryl, Simon made a full recovery and graduated from kindergarten. When I compare the two graduations, it seems like I'm comparing a baby and a little man. Makes me a little sad.

2 Sketches 4U Ultimate Card Showdown

2 Sketches 4 U is having an ultimate card show down. I probably have no hope because there are so many wonderful cards that have been submitted. I used this sketch to work out a card that has been rattling around in my head for a while. I am always in need of a cute encouragement card and usually (gasp) end up buying one at the store. The part of Finding Nemo when Dory sings "just keep swimming, swimming, swimming" has been stuck in my head for a few weeks now and I wanted to use it on a card.
